Join us in celebrating and supporting the Sunnyvale Education Foundation (SEF) at their annual banquet! 🎉 SEF has been a tremendous supporter of Lakewood, generously providing grants that cover a significant portion of our "School House Rocks" musical costs. In previous years, they've funded our library, garden, literacy support, and more. We are incredibly fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers enriching the entire Sunnyvale School District. We cordially invite you to Sunnyvale Education Foundation's 2025 Showcase, Tuesday May 6, at 5:30PM in the Sunnyvale Community Center Ballroom! This year we'll be "Walking on Sunshine" as we celebrate Sunnyvale students and SEF's programs that support them.

This year’s SEF Showcase will feature performances, artwork, projects, student and teacher testimonials and more from students in Sunnyvale schools that SEF's programs have engaged, inspired, encouraged, and empowered. Our students are proud of what they have accomplished and we'd love to share their joy and achievements with you.

Tickets for the 2025 SEF Showcase are $25 for general admission, and discounted 100% off for donors and SSD teachers. Tickets are available through Eventbrite. Use the code “FREEWALKSUN25” to get the parent/guardian discount.

• Tues., 4/29, 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. – Zumba @ CMC Multipurpose is a fitness program that involves cardio and Latin – inspired dance. Arrive 10-15 minutes early to your first lass to complete required forms. Youth ages 8-13 can participate with parent/guardian and youth ages 14-17 may participate with signed parent/guardian consent form. Donations of $3 welcome but not required. No childcare and children may not wait in the facility.
• Wed., 4/30, 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. - Vaccination Clinic for Children (Ages 3-18) with MayView Clinic. Children can get their required vaccinations for school or childcare. • Fri., 5/2, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – FREE! Youth Drop-In Basketball @ CNC Gym - indoor youth drop-in basketball for middle and high school youth. Must have current school ID and signed parent consent form. Bring your own ball. Program will be canceled if no one shows after the first hour.
• Drop-In Fitness Room – Regular hours - Monday - Friday, 3:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m. - get active with cardio machines (treadmill, bikes, ellipticals), strength training machines and free weights. Bring water, towel and wear athletic shoes. $1, Sunnyvale residents only. High school students with signed parent consent waiver. Middle school students are free, must attend with a paying parent/guardian.

• Thurs., 5/1, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. – Free Therapeutic Recreation Watercolor Painting Class – Join us for a fun and relaxing artistic journey with vibrant world of watercolor painting! Here you will find free dental screening, 30 community booths for education and products and raffle prizes. It will be at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds (Gate B: Fiesta building) 344 Tully Rd, San Jose.
