As was communicated a few weeks ago, approximately 40-50 students were unable to get their pictures retaken during the previously scheduled re-take day. We are happy to announce the portrait company has agreed to return on November 4.

Mark your calendars and get ready for some fun! We are hosting an online book fair! Book Fair Dates: November 1-November 14.

Here are some highlights:

Over 40,000 new books for children and young adults are published annually, and JLG selects only the top 3% for its collection – so you KNOW these books are going to be good! Most titles in our book fair will be hardcover, first-edition books with library-quality binding.

• Shop from the comfort and safety of home! With health concerns and social-distancing requirements, this online fair is the perfect way to find great books from the safety of your home. And you can shop using any major debit or credit card – no cash needed!

• Direct-to-home delivery! Every purchase from our online book fair will be delivered straight to your door. You can also shop teacher wish lists, and those books will be shipped directly to the school. Easy peasy!

• FREE shipping for all orders over $30, and books ordered from teacher wish lists ALWAYS ship for free!

• Supports our school! Our library receives a percentage of every book fair purchase, and we can use these funds raised as JLG credit to add more quality books to our collection. If we make $1,000 or more in total sales, we have the option to receive a cash reward instead. Your support is so appreciated! Parents/Guardians

If you have not done so already, please log into your Home Access Center account (HAC) to update your student’s enrollment update form. Please ensure you are using your parent HAC login becuase students' HAC logins do not have this option. Once you log into HAC, you will see 5 options at the top. Choose the one that is Registration. Then open the update enrollment tab. If you have any trouble logging in or do not have a HAC login, please contact April Roach at 301-884-4635 X37120 or alroach#smcps.org. The MTSS committee is excited to announce that the Margaret Brent Masks have arrived and are for sale. What better way to show your school spirit than with a mask?

The cost for each mask is $12 or 2 for $20-- what a deal!
