Speech Tournament Kick-off Meeting Tomorrow

Fourth and fifth-grade students interested in participating in the 2023 District Speech Tournament should meet in the LMC during their recess on Thursday, December 8th. Students should bring their iPads to the meeting to join the speech tournament Schoology course. All information, permission slip application, and scripts will be located in the Schoology course. Please sit with your child to read through all the information, help your child find a coach outside of school, pick a script, and fill out the application. All applications are due electronically by Friday, December 16th! The event will be held after school at Hough on Monday, March 6th. Your child will be assigned a time after school on March 6th at Hough to perform their selection in front of our 2023 judges, comprised of Hough staff members.

Holiday Market

The Hough Holiday Market is next Tuesday, December 13. Please use this link to sign up to shop. Shopping times are separated by grade:

Kinder/1st from 5:30-6:00
2nd/3rd from 6:00-6:30
4th/5th from 6:30-7:00

Envelopes will be sent home with students this Friday to allow for planning and budgeting over the weekend. View Hough's gift options here.

Mindful Monday Club

Mindful Monday is back! Third, fourth and fifth graders will be invited to come to Mindful Monday during their lunch period during the last few Mondays of December. Students will eat lunch with Mrs. Keller while we will chat about what Mindfulness is and how it can help us in our everyday lives. Fourth and fifth graders are welcome to come on Monday, December 12th during lunch, and third graders will have the option to join on Monday, December 19th.
