9th Annual Art Gala
We can't thank you enough for the outpouring of support received at this year's annual Art Gala! Not only was it a record year in attendance, but it was a record year in earnings! Our goal was to raise $120K for our school including tickets and table sales and the proceeds from the night. And thanks to you, we raised over $126K!!!! Of that, we raised $89K that night - $22K in the Live Art Auction, $36K in the Silent Auction, and $30K in the Raise the Paddle donations!!!! Thank you again for giving to support our unique way of learning at Austin International School! Congrats to the winners of the post-gala items: Holly Johnson won the Gym & Juice package and Kevin Green won the Antigua St. James package. We will send out information next week to these winners and those who signed up for the AIS parties. We look forward to celebrating with you at these events.
Spring Break Camp Registration Now Open!
Come away with us on a Tropical Paradise adventure as we explore the different cultures of these amazing destinations: El Nido Island, The Philippines, Haiti, Fiji, and Hawaii! Spring Break camp runs 3/23 - 327. Campers will craft, learn, and discover in French, Spanish, & English. Camp is offered from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm with complimentary drop-off from 7:30 and optional after-camp care until 6:00 pm. The camp costs $310 for the week or $80 per day. Family Survey Giveaway Winners
Muchas gracias to all of the families that donated their time, effort, and reflections to completing our AIS Family Satisfaction Survey. Thanks to our community efforts, we had a record response rate this year, which will help provide valuable feedback to plan for the ongoing growth and improvement of our school. We would also like to say « felicitations » to the winners of our AIS Trilingual Book Giveaway: Abram in CP; Rhône and Maxim in PS/GS; and Audrey in MS.
MS Valentine Science
Our MS students had fun doing science experiments with candy hearts. Students experimented with adding air, water, soda, and white vinegar to see the chemical reactions.
CP Writer's Celebration
Wednesday our CP families were invited to an Ice cream Reading Celebration with students who read from their nonfiction chapter books.

Re-enrollment for the 2020-2021 School Year
Monday, we will open re-enrollment for next school year! Be on the lookout for an email with more information next week. Registration will be done through your Parents Web portal by accessing the "Apply/Enroll" feature on the left scroll bar, then under "Enrollment/Re-enrollment". Click on the "Click here to open enrollment" message on the right to begin. Early commitment rates are through the end of March, ending on March 31st. You may find the school calendar for next year and the tuition schedule here.
CM2 Bake Sale-3/2 thru 3/6
Our bake sale to benefit our trip to France is scheduled the week of March 2nd. The money will be used to show our appreciation to the teachers, host classes and host family! It will take place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and, Thursday after school. Thank you to the PTO for donating the proceeds from next Friday's Easy Tiger bake sale to the trip as well!
Go Owls BBall-Tue., 3/3 & Thur., 3/5
We are proud of our boys' and girls' basketball teams and want to extend a big thank you to Coach Cedric & Coach Natacha. Come cheer the boys on for their postseason game on Tuesday at Austin Sports Center at 5:30 pm. The girls will play in the semi-finals on Thursday at Wayside Schools at 6:00 and if they advance, they will play the final game immediately after at 7:00 pm.

AIS Talent Show-Thur./Fri., 3/5 - 3/6, 2:00 -3:00 pm
Our student Talent Show will be held on Thursday, March 5th for CP thru CE2 and on Friday, March 6th for CM1 thru 4è. The show will take place in the auditorium from 2:00-3:00pm each day. If your child/ has a talent, please encourage them to sign up via the Student Council form by Sunday, March the 1st by clicking this link: Talent show 2020.! Be sure students include their name and the title of their talent.
March Spirit Night at Modern Market-Fri., 3/6, 5:00 - 8:00 pm
Austin Spurs AIS Night!-Sun. 3/8, 4:00 pm
On Sunday, March 8th, AIS has been invited to cheer on the Austin Spurs as they play the Oklahoma City Blues at the HEB Cedar Park Center. Plus, AIS students will have the opportunity to high five the players as they run out onto the court at halftime! The game starts at 4:00 pm and we hope you can join us. Tickets are available here. ZTP Mamma Mia! Auditions- 3/14 - 3/15
Our partners at Zilker Theatre Productions are holding open auditions for their summer performance of Mamma Mia! Those wishing to audition must sign up for a time slot by clicking here. Please come prepared with two contrasting pop/rock songs from the 70s/80s/90s (one up-tempo, one ballad). Please do not sing a song from Mamma Mia! Auditions are open to those 14+. Rehearsals will begin in mid-May; the show runs July 10th thru August 15th. Auditions will be held at KWRI, 1221 S. Mopac Expwy., Austin, TX 78746.
