Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year
Dear Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy Families/Caregivers,
We are excited to kick off the new school year at Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy! We are looking forward to the start of the year with all of our Huskies! School will begin on Tuesday, September 3rd at 9:25 am for all students in grades 1-5. Special directions have been sent separately to Kindergarten families to communicate the transition process for K students.
This year Open House is Wednesday, August 28th from 4:30-6:00 PM. This is an opportunity for you to not only come and tour the school, but to also connect with your child’s teacher! Parents/guardians with children in Grades K-5 will be able to access classroom teacher assignments in ParentVue on Friday, August 23rd by 4:00pm. You will need to use your log-in and password on the Anoka-Hennepin homepage. Contact the district help-line at (763) 506-4357 if you are having difficulty. If you come to Open House and don’t remember your child’s teacher, just check in with us in the office!
Open House: Wednesday, August 28th 4:30 – 6:00 PM
Parents/guardians and students will meet teachers and see their classrooms.
Information will be distributed in the classroom. There will be some information you will need to sign and leave with the teacher, and other information you can take home to help you and your child through the school year.
Conference sign up is done online by going to myconferencetime.com/cbpa on your personal computers, mobile phones or tablet devices. All conferences will be 20 minutes per child/per family. We ask that families with separated parents work together to schedule their conference time together due to the number of student families per classroom and limited times.
Transportation Schedules:
Students who take the bus will receive information about bus times and bus stop locations through the postal service. The postcards will be mailed out the week of August 26th. Parents will also be able to access transportation information through your child’s Student Information page. Your child’s bus route number, pick-up time and stop, afternoon drop-off time, and activity bus drop-off time and location will be available on Friday, August 30th.

Parent Drop-Off/Pick-Up:
Our parent drop-off and pick-up areas are located in the front of the building. Please access the drop-off lanes using 109th Avenue. Students must get out of cars on the curbside in front of the building (not on 109th). Students in grades 3-5 only are dropped off and picked up in front of Jackson Middle School. If you have students in multiple grade levels, please utilize the drop-off/pick-up ares for your youngest student. Our parking lots and drop-off line will be a very busy place. Please be patient and very cautious with pedestrians.
Walkers:
Walkers will be welcomed into both the front and back doors of the building. Staff will be providing supervision at both entrances. When planning to use the front entrance coming from the east side of campus, students should utilize the sidewalk in front of Jackson Middle School rather than the sidewalk on 109th. This will limit the number of driveways students need to cross, therefore increasing safety. Students who enter the back of the building will be entering Door #33.
The state’s Free School Meals program began in 2023, families will still need to apply
to qualify for more educational benefits:
Students may receive one breakfast and one lunch at no cost during
the school year. The state’s Free School Meals program will cover the cost of one breakfast
meal and one lunch meal for every student daily, however the cost of a la carte items, such as
milk, other drinks, or extra meal items will not be covered. Students will need to have funds in
their meal accounts to purchase any additional food items.
If your family needs access to any other educational benefits available to your student, please
visit ahschools.us/freereduced to complete an application.
Anoka-Hennepin asks that all families complete an online application to provide additional
school funding to support all students in the district. By filling out this application, your school
can earn funding and you can save money.
Educational benefits include:
● Athletics fees: Eligible students may qualify for fees to be waived or reduced.
● SAT, ACT, AP Fees: Students may be eligible for discounted fees for academic tests
and some lab fees.
