May 24 - 3rd grade field trip

BISD Board Goal 5: Improve academic achievement of all students through communication, access to information and a network of community partnerships.

We had a great time at Kindergarten Round Up and enjoyed meeting our incoming kindergarten students. There were a lot of activitiesfood, and fun.

We had our Spring BookFair. $377.32 was given as Monetary donations for Trenton Elementary School. There were also several new book donations, as well as some gently used books. We were able to restock their bookshelves with close to 200 books. We hope this will help them bounce back after their recent devestating fire and know that at BISD we will always help our neighbors.

BISD Board Goal 3: Ensure all students have high levels of academic achievement

with a focus on literacy and mathematics through improved leadership, instruction, support and a climate of continuous improvement.

Our kindergarten students were learning about life cycles of a flower, and a flower life cycle cannot continue without pollinators. So my class became pollinators and were able to see how the pollen exchanges from one flower to another.

Our 2nd graders rotate through classes on this day and learn from experts about all things with nature.
