Counselor's Corner
Hello Marshall families!
I hope this message finds you well and excited for the upcoming school year! My name is Kylie Wright, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new school counselor here at Marshall Elementary School. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and working together to support the growth and well-being of your children.
As a school counselor, my primary role is to provide support in various areas, including academic success, social and emotional development, and personal well-being. Whether it's helping students navigate challenges, providing resources, or simply lending a listening ear, I am here to ensure that every child feels safe, supported, and valued.
This year, I will be offering a range of programs and activities designed to enhance the school experience for all students. All K-5 students participate in Social Emotional Lessons (SEL) that I deliver once a week. The primary goal of SEL lessons is to provide information and teach skills that help students better understand their thoughts and emotions, become more self-aware, and develop more empathy for others within their community and the world around them. In addition to these lessons, I will provide individual counseling and small groups as the needs of our students are identified throughout the year.
Communication and collaboration with families are key to our success. I encourage you to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or suggestions. Your insights and involvement are invaluable in creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
I am excited about the opportunities ahead and am committed to making this a fantastic school year for your children. Together, let’s make it a year full of growth, joy, and success!
Thank you,
Kylie Wright
