Announcements
Congratulations!
We want to congratulate our 7 students who traveled this weekend to Odessa to audition for All-State. All of our students did amazing and represented Eastwood at the area round so well! We are so excited for the growth they have done and the growth they will continue to have down the road. And we are definitely excited for the growth in numbers that we will have next year in our students participating at this level!
Congratulations to Jordan Brown, Michael Diaz, Zachary Keener, Jose Lopez, Daisy Olsen, Brandyn Sandoval, Carlos Valmana! We are extremely proud of you!
We would also like to extend a thank you to our boosters for providing snacks and drinks to our students during the trip, as well as our amazing parent volunteers who made the trip to make sure the students had everything they needed.
All-Region Concerts
Our students who made the All-Region bands back in December will be performing in 2 weeks at UTEP with the bands they were selected to be in. Students by now should have received instructions about rehearsals and performances the week of January 20th, as well as their music. The concert will be on Saturday, January 25th, and students should wear all concert black for their performance. Please read the information carefully about locations and times, so that all students are able to get the full experience with the clinicians they will work with.
Our students who were selected to participate in the All-Region Orchestra concerts this week, have already been contacted by Mr. Perez and given music and instructions. They will be rehearsing this week on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday; with a concert on Saturday late afternoon. Attire should also be concert black for this event.
Solo and Ensemble
As stated in our summer meeting, our band students will be performing at Solo and Ensemble on February 8th. Like All-Region, Solo and Ensemble is a necessity for our students to become better with their instruments. Students received their music earlier so that they could review and practice over the holiday break.
We want to put this in your ear since now, because we will ask for students to pay their entry fees for the Solo and Ensemble contest. The event costs $10 per student, per event; with a maximum of 2 events per students. For example, if a students is given music for a solo and an ensemble, then they will be asked to pay $20. If a student is only given music for just an ensemble or just a solo, then they will be asked to pay $10.
All payments for Solo and Ensemble should be in by February 7th.
Class of 2026 Parents
Parents of our current juniors! While we know it might seem early, we want to already start planning for next year so that we can give them the best senior year possible. We ask that all parents of our Class of 2026 please message Mrs. Denise Lipp. Please include your name, your child’s name, and their instrument. Messages can be sent to her phone at 915-269-4663. Thank you!
Congratulations to our Area Students!
