FJVD Weekly Info
We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
It was wonderful seeing so many families at our Back to School BBQ yesterday evening! At one point I was able to pause and take it all in: children of all ages running and playing together, laughter and boisterous conversations filling the air, teachers and families alike all intermingling, rehashing summer stories, and catching up with one another. This is what community looks like, I thought. This is Father Doyle School.
As we prepare for the start of the 2024-2025 school year, a reminder of the schedule for next week:

5:30pm - Families with One Student, Student Last Name A-L and Families with 2+ Students K-8

Introducing Homework Helper at FJVD
Open to Students in Grades 2-8
We're pleased to introduce a new after school option for students in grades 2-8. Running Monday-Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 (or 2:30-3:00 for students in grades 2-4), the Homework Helper program provides students the opportunity to work on homework in a quiet, focused environment with direct supervision. A teacher will be available to answer basic questions, help students stay focused and organized, and assist students in managing their time and assignments.
The cost to utilize the program is billed monthly ($100/month for 5-8, $50/month for 2-4). Students may also visit Home Helper on a "drop-in" basis for $15.00 per day.
Is your student interested in participating? You can register for the first month of Homework Helper here: REGISTER NOW
Please note LIMITED SPACE is available! Register soon!
