Student Arrival Changes
First and foremost, THANK YOU for all your patience as we have transitioned to a new student arrival process. Again, the rationale behind this change is to keep our kids safe from traffic and the elements, especially as we transition out of summer. After observing this for two weeks and getting feedback from our staff and community, we are going to make a few adjustments to this process that will hopefully help it run smoother for everyone. This will begin on Monday, 9/30/24. Please see the map for a visual of the adjustments below:
- You may drop your child off at the Madison doors to enter the building at 8:05 or later. We still kindly ask that students NOT wait at those doors if they are here prior to 8:05.
- For all other car riders, please pull up all the way and drop off your child at the end of the gymnasium marked “Student Drop Off” on the map.
- Please DO NOT attempt to enter through the staff parking lot. There is a barrier to indicate this area.
- If your child has a large instrument for band, please reach out to me directly at christopher.plush@lakewoodscityschools.org so we can make other arrangements.
Again, we are hoping this makes the entire process run smoother. We will evaluate how this goes next week and make more adjustments as needed.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Conferences will be held in person; however, if you prefer to meet virtually, we are happy to offer a Zoom option. To request a virtual conference, please email your student’s teacher, who will provide a meeting link.
To schedule your conference, whether in person or via Zoom, please be sure to use the PTCFast system to secure your preferred time slot.
The link for parents to sign up for Parent-Teacher conferences is below:
