Principal Welch's Weekly Update
March 3rd, 2025
No School: March 7th- March 16th for Spring Break
This marks the second semester mid-term. We are halfway through second semester. Please utilize Parent/StudentVUE to review midterm progress grades. If grades are not where you’d like them to be, it is not too late to turn things around and improve!
Utilize conference period and afterschool tutoring in the library to get the support you need.
Testing Season is Approaching Quickly
Coming up at the end of March/early April, Rincon students will be engaged in important testing. The ACT and AZ Sci exams are like the Superbowl of Academics. Attendance on testing dates is extremely important as our scores are calculated based on 95% of our students taking the exams, even if 95% of our students do not take the exam. If less than 95% of our students take the exams, our scores are already in a deficit, before they are even calculated.
This is our opportunity for Rincon academics to shine and show the state and our community just how great our Rangers really are!
Please be on the lookout for the upcoming testing dates and mark your calendars! Try to avoid scheduling appointments during the last week of March and the first week of April if at all possible, especially morning appointments.
