Happy Friday, Wildcats
From the Office
We have had an incredible week of learning and growing at Workman School. We look forward to a busy week of winter celebrations, including our school-wide winter sing-along next Friday. Thank you to the PTO for providing bagels and coffee during our weekly staff meeting. That was such a great way to start our day. Thank you again to all who donated to the holiday stockings for Heroes project. Here are some of the soldiers receiving their stockings.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Wildcats of the Month - December
Congratulations to our Wildcat students and staff of the Month. Thank you, Wildcats, for being safe, respectful, responsible and kind.
From The Office
Think Sheets
Think Sheets are used to encourage self-reflection, accountability, and responsible behavior. When students fill out a Think Sheet, they're prompted to consider the choices they've made, the impact of their actions on themselves and others, and how they can make better choices in the future If your student brings home a Think Sheet, please review it with them, sign it, and return it to school. We appreciate your support at home to encourage positive behavior at school. .
Workman’s 1st Annual Family Math Night

We’re thrilled to host our first annual Family Math night with math games, prizes, explorations, mathematical thinking activities, and more! This is a family event; all are welcome! This is NOT a drop event. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please RSVP for this event by Wed, January 8th. More information can be found here.
Fifth Grade Cluster Concert
Fifth Grade students are invited to the Cluster Concert held at 7:30 PM on January 15, 2025 in The Salem Auditorium. This is an amazing opportunity to be a part of a very special concert with fifth graders from across the district. More information is available at this link.
A Message from the Green Team
Please check out these Earth Friendly Holiday Ideas from Workman’s Green Team.
Breakfast/Lunch Menus
Breakfast/lunch menus can be found on the PCCS website here. You can also choose food preferences or allergens to understand the ingredients in menu items.
Cold Weather Gear
The goal is to have students go outside for recess each day. As long as the real feel temperature is 15 degrees or above, we will be going out. Please send in boots, snow pants, hats, gloves, scarves, etc. It is often helpful to have these items packed in a separate bag if possible. This bag can stay at school throughout the week and travel home on the weekends to be washed/cleaned. Students without snow pants and boots will not be able to go beyond the black top during recess. Students are expected to participate in recess unless there is a doctor’s note on file with the school nurse outlining restrictions which could also impact participation in physical education class.
December Kindness Activities
During the month of December, students will create holiday cards for seniors at Waltonwoods retirement communities in Canton. Your family can also participate in the December SEL Challenge at home.
