The Savage Life!

On Friday, we had a bench dedication ceremony in front of the high school to honor the memory of Hunter Armstrong. Hunter was a senior with the class of 2023 who left us way to soon. We hope that this bench will serve as a symbol of remembrance and a testament to the impact of Hunter on our lives. We hope this bench will be a source of comfort, inspiration, and joy for all who sit upon it, and may we always remember Hunter Armstrong with gratitude and love.

Our high school band students have had a couple of exciting weekend competitions! On September 28th they competed in the Pauls Valley competition and on October 5 they competed in the Konawa competition. They have put in lots of hard work and effort this season, please help us congratulate them!

This week WHS would like to spotlight Kailen Lee, a junior student in the Pre-Engineering program at MATC. Kailen’s reason for attending MATC is to get a higher education and more college opportunities. Her favorite things are the environment and the close connections that she has made. Kailen’s plans after graduation are to attend Oklahoma State University.

We are looking for talented students to join our cast on December 5th. If you and your friends would like to show off your skills whether it is singing, dancing, playing an instrument, performing a skit, or showcasing whatever talent you have; pick up an order form in the office. All entries must be received by November 1st. It’s going to be a lot of fun!
