PVE Families,

We are already half way to our goal for a new reader board. THANK YOU so much for helping us with this big ticket item! When we began the year we let everyone know about the amazingly supportive community we have. This is just one more example of how generous and kind you all are!

Our hearts are full!

Your child has a copy of the Hawks Reading Challenge in their Friday Folders. If your child chooses to participate in the challenge to receive a ticket to a Hawks baseball game this summer, they need to fill out the second page, get your signature, and turn into their teacher by May 7.

PLEASE HELP!

We are running low on some of our sizes! If you have items that were borrowed from the Health Office, please return those as soon as possible.

As you begin spring cleaning, if there are pants you would like to donate, we would gladly accept those items.

If you have an incoming kindergartener or know someone who does, please be sure to begin the registrations process now.

You MUST complete the following BEFORE you will be given an appointment time for April 26.

• Register your child online School Registration / School Enrollment and Registration (westada.org) This is a two step process.
• Provide a copy of the Birth Certificate
• Immunizations
• Proof of Residency (utility tied to the house or rental/purchase agreement)

Once all items are complete, you will be given a time to bring your child to PVE for the registration.

*Minimum immunization requirements for school entry in August include:

(5) Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (DTaP) doses

(2) Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) doses

(4) Polio doses

(3) Hepatitis B doses

(2) Varicella (Chickenpox) doses

(2) Hepatitis A doses

Along with your private health provider, there are many local resources where immunizations are available. The Meridian Schools Clinic accepts walk in visits or appointments for immunizations. They may be reached at (208) 514-2527 and are located at 925 NW 1st Street adjacent to Meridian Elementary School. In addition, Central District Health Department may be reached at (208) 327-7450.

Yearbooks are on sale now for $12. All orders are due by Wednesday, April 28th. Yearbooks will be passed out in class during the last week of school.

*Please note it will ask you to click for shipping; however, your yearbook will not be shipped to you. They will come to the school and be distributed.

We are beginning to see an issue with students not having water bottles. Please remember to send one with your child, as the drinking fountains are turned off and we do not have the supply budget to cover water bottles.
