The Riverwalk Roar
The Riverwalk Roar: May 25, 2024
Happy Sunday, Pride!,
As we approach the end of the school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we have all been a part of. This week marks the last week of classes, and as we close out another successful year, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our students, staff, and community.
This weekend, we observe Memorial Day, a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Let us take a moment to reflect on their service and dedication, and to appreciate the freedoms we enjoy because of their courage and bravery.
As we wrap up the final days of this academic year, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our parents and guardians. Your unwavering support and trust in Riverwalk Academy have been crucial to our success. You have partnered with us in nurturing and educating your children, and together, we have created a thriving and vibrant learning environment. The school community we’ve created is one that other schools around have reached out to us asking what’s in our secret sauce. The honest answer, every time I’m asked, is, “It’s our Pride.” It’s everyone who believes and supports the mission of Riverwalk Academy, ranging from our Board to our staff, their parents, and our students.
Late last week, we said our goodbyes to our graduating seniors. We celebrate their accomplishments and wish them all the best as they embark on their next adventures. To our returning students, we look forward to welcoming you back in the fall, refreshed and ready for another exciting year.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our dedicated teachers and staff for their tireless efforts and commitment to our students' success. Their passion and dedication have made a significant impact on our school community.
As we head into the summer break, I encourage everyone to take time to relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy quality time with loved ones. Whether you are traveling, enjoying the great outdoors, or simply taking a break at home, I wish you a safe and enjoyable summer.
Thank you once again for being a part of the Riverwalk Academy family. Have a wonderful summer, and we look forward to seeing you in the new school year!
In Strength and Blessings,
~Dr. Compton
