Message from the Principal
Kiker Families and Caretakers,
We have another busy week here at Kiker! Today our 2nd graders completed their annual Market Day and had the opportunity to apply some of their financial literacy skills. 💰 Thank you to everyone who came out to support them!
Our winter dress-up days continue this week and into next week. With the cold weather and everyone getting into the holiday spirit, 📢please remind your students to grab ALL of their items before they leave the house. Our front office staff receives so many "forgotten items" throughout the day which means that they are consistently interrupted from some of their other job duties. We definitely understand there will be "those days" and are simply asking for your support.
I would also like to take this opportunity to say, "THANK YOU" to Dr. Mitchell who has been subbing here as our Kiker assistant principal. 💙She warmed up quickly to our staff and students and we are very grateful for all of her support and her dedication to our campus. She will wrap up her final week here at Kiker this Friday and we are excited to welcome back, Mrs. Zilem!💙
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs. Abrams, M.Ed.
Principal
Happy "Candy Cane Day" from your Kiker Admin Team!

Kiker Keynotes Needs Your Help!
Help Us Fill the Claw Machine with Cuddles!
Our 5th Grade Choir is preparing to perform 'The Claw,' a musical about toys eagerly waiting to be chosen. To create the perfect setting, we’re collecting large, new or gently used stuffed animals to decorate our stage—and to spread holiday cheer! After the show, all stuffed animals will be donated to children in need*. Let’s come together to make a cozy, huggable stage that also makes a difference!
*Organization will be decided on by Student Council
Kiker Keynotes Presents...
Parent Information Session: Human Sexuality & Responsibility
VOLY is the new parent volunteer system for AISD. Please be sure to create a VOLY account if you plan on volunteering at events throughout the school year.
Our Kiker Life Skills class works on a variety of skills. One of their weekly activities includes recipe making! The kids (and teachers) have an awesome time making their recipes together. If you would like to contribute towards purchasing those ingredients and/or making a monetary donation, we have set up a system to make that easy for you to do!
Kiker Elementary collaborates with outside vendors to bring a variety of experiences to our after school program. They are all individual businesses. For that reason, specific questions about clubs, schedules, etc. should be directed towards them before contacting Kiker staff as they will have the most detailed information. You can click on the title or the graphic to the right to find out all of the details!
*A link to this document will also stay in "Popular Links" at the end of this newsletter throughout the year.
