The Mata Memo
May 21, 2024
Principal's Message
Dear Mata family,
Wow! Can you believe how time has flown! This is the last week of the 23/24 School Year! We are proud of the work that our students, staff, and caregivers have done this school year. Everyone gave their absolute best this school year and did everything within their power to maintain what has been best for our children. We started this journey with the motto, "Back to the Basics: Mata Montessori: Where Every Student Achieves their Potential" and you all have proven to be a support to ensure our children did just that. We made it!
We will inform students of classroom assignments by the week of August 5th. Meet the Teacher Night will be that week as well. Please be on the lookout for information.
2024-2025 School supply lists will be emailed next week and placed on our website. Please be on the lookout.
Parents and guardians, we would like to remind you to please register your child for the 2024/25 school year and select your choice for bus routes.
Next year will be powerful and historic for our school because of the work that has been put in this school year. Please pat yourselves on the back and celebrate a job well done.
Have a fabulous summer!

Dallas ISD's Summer Breeze 2024
The Summer Breeze 2024 programming provides an array of exciting learning experiences that are designed to engage students in rigorous tasks that accelerate learning while improving social and emotional well-being.
For June and July, the District along with community partners will offer summer learning programming at designated campuses and locations. Program choices focus on Acceleration, Legislative Mandates, Enrichment, and College Readiness.
Over the last three years, thousands of students have participated in the district's Summer Breeze offerings. Participants demonstrated increased student achievement and overall exhibited a positive self-perception in social-emotional learning. Parents view programming as a valuable resource for the family and students have described experiences as fun and enjoyable.
Join us this summer and share in the district’s year-long commitment of engaging students in learning and providing opportunities for students to explore new interests.
