Building Administrators Celebrated Throughout the Week
The Illinois Principals Association (IPA) celebrated Principal Appreciation Week 2024 from October 21-25. During the week, we celebrated and recognized the incredible dedication of our school principals, assistant principals, and deans! Their leadership, commitment to students, and support of staff make a positive difference in our schools every day. From creating safe and welcoming environments to fostering academic growth, our building administrators are at the heart of our school communities.

- Last Friday, Patch 22 Farm's adorable mobile petting zoo visited East Elementary! Students from all grade levels had the fantastic chance to pet and interact with the cutest goats, rabbits, ducks, and pigs. It was a day filled with furry fun! Patch 22 Farm's mobile petting zoo visited East Elementary last Friday. Students from all grade levels could pet and interact with goats, rabbits, ducks, and pigs.
Last Thursday, the sixth-graders and staff of ZCMS embarked on their first academic field trip to Richardson Farms. This engaging outing allowed students to connect their classroom lessons about plants in science class to the real world as they explored and interacted with Christmas trees and pumpkins. They also gained insights into agritourism and the economic impact of such a significant event. Both students and staff thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful, memorable day, making it a valuable experience for all!
- Families gathered at West Elementary’s Book-or-Treat event on Thursday night for a delightful, fun evening. Students showcased their creative costumes, interacted with staff members, and collected exciting books and treats. It was a night filled with laughter and a celebration of reading!
- Shiloh Park Soccer wrapped up its season last Thursday night with a match in Zion against Miguel Juarez Middle School. The boys gave it their all, determined to end the season on a high note.
