ITL Changes for 2019-2020
Lisa Sivell and Tracy Lerer have chosen to step down as ITLs after this school year. They have both been long time ITLs at Hammond and deserve a great deal of praise for their leadership and commitment. Please thank them!

Employee Well-Being-
Our employee well-being workgroup has pulled several resources together for schools and offices and we have two very specific requests:
- Please take a minute to create an account and explore the Staff Counseling and Support Program (formerly referred to as the Employee Assistance Program).

BearTime Updates
HCPSS is cancelling all flextime periods (BearTime) from May 1 - June 5th. We will operate using the normal bell schedule on Wednesdays during this time.
We will issue reminders to our students closer to that date. In the mean time, we want to continue encouraging our students to arrive to Bear Time on time.
Media Updates
- Our STAFF bookclub will meet this Wednesday (May 8th) after school in the Media Center. We will be discussing Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann
- Our next Hammond Hike will be for students AND staff. It is scheduled for Friday, May 17th from 12pm - 2pm. This is an articulation day. If you do NOT have any other scheduled/required work related activities, please consider joining students on this hike. This hike will be back at the Cascade Falls Trail at the Avalon area of the Patapsco State Park (our first Hammond Hike was located here). To register, please call 410-461-5005 to let the park service know you will be attending the hike!
- May Maker Monday - Monday, May 13th - after school in the Media Center we'll be making flowers from the pages of old books. Come and join us to make one!
- June Maker Monday (our final one of the year) - Monday, June 10th - after school in the Media Center. Please place an old shirt in the donation bin in the staff lounge. I'll wash them and bring them to the Maker Monday so you can deconstruct them and make them into reusable shopping bags. Pat Hersey from Less Plastic Please will be joining us and leading this final Maker Monday workshop!
