Dear Builta Families

This week we had an all school celebration as students and staff created a "We Are Builta" hallway display made with an individually student decorated name tag from every student and staff member.


There is no school on Friday, May 2. Builta staff will participate in a School Improvement Day. We will see students back at school on Monday, May 5.


2025-2026 registration in Parentvue is open, and the 25-26 Badger Registration Race race has begun.

  • Between May 1 and May 15 every student who is registered or whose parents notify the office their child is not returning will receive a prize.
  • If you are moving and not returning to Builta, please call the office at 630-226-4400 or email Mrs. Padilla at marbella_padilla@ipsd.org and your student will receive a prize that will be counted towards the whole class reward.
  • The first class who has everyone registered or has communicated that their child is not returning to Builta will win a Dilly Bar Classroom Party.
  • As a reminder, fees and medical forms do not need to be paid or uploaded at the time of registration.

We are asking incoming kindergarten families to complete the Kindergarten Information Sheet using the below link so we can share important information with you prior to registration. Official registration will begin May 1st.

Kindergarten Preview Day and Screening 5/21/25 and 7/14/25

Builta School is hosting a Kindergarten Preview and Screening Day for our newest kindergarten students. At Kindergarten Preview Day you and your child will meet Builta’s administrators, kindergarten teachers, and other school personnel. Your child will visit the classroom with a small group of pre-kindergartners and teachers to enjoy a sample of the kindergarten experience. While parents will have the chance to meet and connect with each other as well as learn information about the kindergarten program.


We are asking our incoming kindergarten families to schedule their child for a 60-minute appointment on May 21 or July 14. Please click on this link Kindergarten Preview Days (May 21 or July 14) to sign up your child for this special event.


In addition, please take a few minutes to complete the Builta Parent Kindergarten Input Form to the best of your knowledge. This information will provide us with additional information about your incoming kindergarten child. Please know that we are eager to work with all ALL of our incoming kindergartners. Your responses will be kept confidential and only shared with the teachers working with your student.


On preview day, kindergarten families will enter the building and check-in at Door 2.
