Fathers Read Event – November 20th!
Dear CTIS Father Figures,
We’d love for you to be a part of a special event we're hosting for our 5th and 6th grade students! We’re inviting father figures to share a hobby or career story, and we’d love for you to join us. It’s a great way to connect with the kids and make a lasting impact. We are asking for just 30-45 minutes of your time to share a hobby or career story. There is no need to prepare a big presentation—we just want you to share what you love! Whether it’s sports, art, building things, or even video games, the kids will love hearing your story. Would you be willing to sign up?
Here’s how you can get involved:
The event will take place on November 20, 2024.
You’ll only need to commit to about 30-45 minutes to read/chat with the students (see link below for specific times).
No major prep work is needed—just come ready to share something you're passionate about!
How to Participate:
Sign Up: Reserve your spot through our online signup form: https://forms.gle/GKncTKV2E6hWjquG8. You will need to sign-up for the time your student has Win/Studio time.
Decide What You Would Like to Volunteer For: You may read a book, talk about your career, or talk about a hobby of yours.
Read or Talk to Your Student’s Class: Enjoy a memorable session with the class.
We understand that everyone’s time is valuable, and we truly appreciate any support you can offer. If you’re able to join us, it would mean a lot to both the students and the school community. And if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
Thank you so much for considering this opportunity to make a difference. We hope to see you there!
Sincerely,
Ali Smith

Volunteer Background Check
CTIS Families,
In our continuous efforts to keep all children safe, MISD requires that all volunteers that will be working with students complete a background check. This includes parents volunteering on campus or field trips. In order to chaperone on any field trip, you must submit a background check application and we must receive approval before the field trip.
If possible, please submit your application as soon as possible to allow time for it to be processed and for us to receive your approval. The application process is free to you and only takes about three minutes to complete. Click the button below to complete the application. Just chose the link for Cross Timbers Intermediate.
Please do not hesitate to contact the front office if you have any questions.
