It was so wonderful to see the kids today! I hope you and your family had a wonderful week of Thanksgiving. We have three more weeks of school, and then we will be out for two weeks for the holidays. There is a lot going on in December--check the graphics below for details!

Check-a-Thon update: We have raised over $2700! Students will get a movie day in their classrooms the week before the holiday break. For the next two weeks, donations will be matched by two generous corporate donors: Jason Waters with Affinity Lending and Eric Harris with CoRErep. Let's come together to hit our $10K goal by the end of the semester!

Online donations will receive an email donation receipt at checkout for your records. Check donations will receive a donation receipt in your child’s folder within a few days of your donation.

All donations are tax deductible! Thank you for your support!

• Check your child's hair for lice and nits (eggs) regularly, especially after school breaks. You can check for nits when your child's hair is dry, such as before washing it. Nits are white to light brown and are usually found within ¼ inch of the scalp.

• If you find lice, use a medicated shampoo or cream rinse to treat your child. You can also try these steps:

• Cover your child's shoulders with a towel.

• Apply a thick conditioner, lice-removal product, or vegetable oil to your child's hair.

• Comb through your child's hair in small sections using a fine-toothed nit comb.

• Wash combs, brushes, and other hair accessories in hot water after each use.

• To prevent the spread of lice, you can:

• Wash clothing, bedding, and sleeping bags in hot water and dry on high heat.

• Dry clean clothing that can't be washed.

• Vacuum bedding, floors, rugs, and upholstered furniture.

• Store stuffed animals and other items that can't be cleaned in sealed plastic bags for two weeks.

• Don't share hats, brushes, combs, coats, towels, or other items that come into contact with the head, neck, or shoulders.

• Let the school know if your child has lice so that other parents and school officials can be advised to check their children.

Per our school uniform policy, students are always allowed to wear Burruss or Marietta spiritwear, so grab yours today!

The School Governance Team (SGT) works with the principal to provide guidance and input on school initiatives and charter flexibility that aligns with the School Improvement Plan.
