BackPack Program

The Food Bank of Iowa's BackPack Program is designed to increase access to easy-to-prepare, single servings of food to school-age children on weekends when school lunch or breakfast is not offered. The Food Bank of Iowa and Collins-Maxwell Elementary would like to invite your child to participate in this free program.

Every Friday, Your child will receive a sack
There is no fee to participate
Notify the elementary office if interested.

The America Heart Association 💙

Elementary is currently participating in our annual Jump Rope for Heart. Donations will continue thru March 14th online or with your students.

Keep remembering winter clothes for recess💨⛄⛅🥶

The temperature & winds are still making our playground very cold. Send your students with a winter coat, gloves or mittens, hat & even warm socks and shoes! We want them to enjoy their time outside all the way thru winter!

Student Mentoring😀

Please contact the office if you would like a permission form to have your student join our mentoring program.

Mentors are screened & trained from the YSS program
Teachers & School staff help match appropriate mentors with mentees
Mentors eat lunch, play games, make crafts during lunch & recess times during school hours.
