Come and join Whittier Middle School for our Spanish 1 Adopt a Sloth fundraiser! In January and February, Spanish 1 students learn about animal trafficking in Central and South America while reading the novel La Perezosa Impaciente about a sloth. This year, we are partnering with Toucan Rescue Ranch in Costa Rica to symbolically adopt one of their sloths. In February, once we raise the funds, students will get to virtually meet their sloth and get a a tour of the animal sanctuary in Costa Rica! They will also get an adoption certificate.

Our 7th graders recently held a toy drive to benefit Bethesda. It was a competition between the three 7th grade cores. 7th grade donated over 400 toys to kids in need. Way to go 7th grade!

Together we raised over 220+ items for Pantry Partners (The Beacon Project) on Gray St. in Norman, OK!

If you are not familiar with Pantry Partners, they service students at Norman High, Norman North, and Dimensions. They provide both a food pantry and a welcoming cafe and lounge where students can hang out after school and complete their school work. Tutors are also available at this amazing non-profit.
