Dear Families,
Thank you for another great week of learning. This upcoming week is a short week and we want to make every minute count. Please remember that our teachers pick up students from their holding areas at 7:50AM and class begins promptly at 8:00AM. I hope everyone enjoys the fall break and comes back refreshed and ready to kick off the rest of the month. When we return from fall break, our teachers will be reaching out with information about our Fall Parent Conference opportunities. Please be sure to connect with your teacher to set up a time to learn about your child’s progress and how we can work in partnership to support their learning.
This week Dallas ISD partnered with Capital One and Amazon to welcome local leaders to campuses for Principal for a Day. Rosemont Upper was matched with former Rosemont parent, Chris Arnold. “CA” as his followers call him, is the emcee for the Dallas Mavericks. Together, he and a few of the Mavs entertainers celebrated our students with a pep rally and some fun Mavericks swag. Mr. Arnold also worked with our students who record our Rosemont News morning announcements and our MS yearbook club to share his experiences and background in broadcast journalism. We are thankful that Mr. Arnold’s students’ experience and connection to Rosemont was so strong that it brought him back after so many years.
