Centennial Middle School
September 9, 2022
Letter from Principal Rosenbach
Dear Centennial Families,
We have had a great week here at Centennial seeing all of your students. From our WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) day on Wednesday where seventy-five 8th grade WEB leaders led the 7th grade students through welcoming activities to seeing our returning 8th graders on Thursday, the school year is off to a great start. The staff is excited to get to know all of their new students and teach them this year.
This newsletter will be a regular communication tool to provide the CMS community with important information and updates. For example, in this edition you will find out our computer distribution next week, our technology protection plan, and information regarding picture day on the 14th.
Picture day is on Wednesday September 14th and the retake day will be on November 2nd. Students will receive their ID/ASB card the day their picture is taken. You can purchase pictures on the website below and we are also sending home a hard copy picture packet with you student on Friday the 9th.
On Monday and Tuesday, the 12th and 13th, we will be checking our materials needed for the school year including a set of textbooks that students keep at home, as well as a computer. Every student is expected to have a charged computer with them at school every day. Families may choose to have students bring a computer from home, but unless we hear from family every student will be issued a computer. Please contact Julian Parker, assistant principal, if you are considering bringing a computer from home. The Snohomish School District has a Technology Protection Plan where families can opt-in for insurance coverage to cover loss, damage and/ or theft. A hard copy of the protection plan was sent home on Friday the 9th, or you can download the protection plan using the links below.

Get your laptop ready for school! After students have their computer checked out to them, they will first need to charge the device and then will need to logon to the computer. Attached is a one-page document that will help student’s login to the computer the first time and has the expectations of what students need to do every night, every morning, and when students arrive at school with their computer.
Get your laptop ready for school
I look forward to serving our students and school community this year and having an awesome year together.
Sincerely,
Josh Rosenbach
