We hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving break. It's hard to believe December is here! This semester is quickly coming to an end and grades will be finalized soon. Students should be using this time to communicate with their teachers to ensure they are caught up on everything. Teacher tutorial times are listed in the "button" section at the end of Jaguar Tales for easy access.

8th Grade Boys B Team won their game vs Ridgeview this week with a score of 52-34. Players of the game were B. Carroll and T. Olson

8th Grade Boys A Team lost a close game to Ridgeview with a score of 46-54. Players of the game were T. Louk, and N. Sajeev

7th Grade Boys B Team fell short to the Ridgeview Panthers with a score of 13-48. Players of the game were N. Samuel, and K. Liburd

7th Grade Boys A Team fought hard but lost this week to Ridgeview with a score of 39-72. Players of the game were W. Garbade, and S. Aleti

The Lady Jags took on the Ridgeview Panthers on Wednesday night. Below are the scores from each game:

7th Grade

B Team won 34-4. Top Scorers: Natalia G. with 8 points and Sam G. with 5 points.

A Team lost 12-24. Valkyrie H. and Maggie O. led the team in rebounds/steals.

8th Grade

B Team won 37-11. Top Scorers: Mia P.L. with 13 points and Jerlyn G. with 7 points.

A Team lost 33-51. Top Scorers: Ally H. with 27 points.

A note from campus administration:

In order to purchase a wristband and attend the dance, students must have no library fines and need to meet behavior and attendance criteria. Students will not be allowed to attend the dance if they have 3 or more tardies or receive a referral resulting in administrative disciplinary action during the week of 12/9-13/2024. (NOTE: a week before dance)

The referral window for students to be considered for gifted services is from November 11, 2024 through December 13, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. You will find the registration link on the Round Rock ISD TAG website. On the morning of November 11th at 8:00 a.m. the links will be live and you can submit registration requests. After completing the online form, you will receive email confirmation of your referral for gifted services. Please keep a copy of the confirmation email for your records.

Registration is open for the 2025 Cedar Valley Middle School Spelling Bee! Students can register at https://forms.gle/z8ZipU1dFGfsLd6DA .

Registration for this year's bee closes on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Registered participants will complete the preliminary bee online. Instructions for the online preliminary bee will be emailed to students after registration. The online preliminary bee must be completed by Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

Students who qualify to move forward in the competition will be notified via email on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

The remaining rounds of the 2025 Cedar Valley Middle School Spelling Bee will be held in person beginning at 3:45 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2025 in the lecture hall.
