Dear Families,

This is a friendly reminder about our dismissal procedures to ensure a smooth and safe pick-up for all students:

During school hours (8:50am-3:50pm):

• Adults are not permitted to cross the fence/sidewalk onto the playground to pick up their student- adults must wait on the sidewalk for their student
• Once you have picked up your student you may enter the playground if you are exiting on the catwalk
• If you are coming from the catwalk, please walk through to the sidewalk and wait for your student on the sidewalk
• All students grade 3-6 will meet their adult on the sidewalk when they leave their classrooms
• Adults are not permitted to be standing outside their students' classroom door
• If you are picking up your student from the main doors, I ask that you are on the sidewalk and/or grass area. Please do not crowd the main doors as it adds congestion to our dismissal

This is to ensure the safety of all of our students here at Harvey.

The UCS Foundation and Connect Macomb, in cooperation with UCS, will be hosting the 31st Annual Career Focus Event for sixth grade students on Tuesday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 7. On both days, the event will be held in-person from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at The Palazzo Grande in Shelby Township. Students will travel by UCS bus to the venue where they will interact with a business or community mentor, enjoy lunch, and then return by UCS bus to their school.

JHV Meeting Dates: Our JHV does SO many amazing things for our Harvey community! We would love to have you join us for our monthly meetings-either in person or online! All meetings start at 6:30pm.

We’ve had Ties and Tiaras and we’ve had the Sweetheart Dance…and now we are ready to have a Candyland Ball!

This year’s Daddy-Daughters dance will be held the evening of March 7th at the school! By creating a magical event at our home school we will be able to make the event affordable for all! To make this event a success, we need volunteers to help before, during and after the event! Please review the Sign-Up Genius below and share your amazing talents with our students!

*Please note this is an all-inclusive event and we encourage our students to bring their favorite adult regardless of how their family is structured!

Honesty is a key value that helps children build trust, responsibility, and strong relationships. Encourage open conversations by praising truthfulness, even when mistakes happen. Model honesty in daily life and remind your student that telling the truth is always the right choice. Together, we can help them grow into trustworthy and confident individuals!
