Responsibility
This month, we are focusing on the important character trait of Responsibility. Responsibility means being dependable, making good choices, and taking ownership of one’s actions. It also includes understanding the impact of our decisions on others and being accountable for our tasks and commitments.
At school, students will be encouraged to:
- Complete their assignments on time.
- Take ownership of their actions, both in and out of the classroom.
- Be dependable by following through with commitments.
- Set and work toward personal and academic goals.
We encourage you to support your child in developing responsibility at home by:
- Helping them manage their time and set priorities.
- Encouraging them to complete their chores or personal tasks independently.
- Discussing the importance of being accountable for their actions.
By working together, we can help foster a sense of responsibility that will benefit our students both in school and in life.
Planning for your Future by grade level
Semester Exams
Please see below for rules about semester exam exemptions from the FHS Handbook Supplement. Grades and attendance were pulled from IPR 2.2 so the office could verify grades without having to interrupt instruction for exemption sign off sheets. Students who are eligible for exemptions will receive a sheet in their 2nd period class on Tuesday. During class they must select the exams they would like to be exempt from and return the sheet to their second period teacher.
Students that are exempt will be allowed to leave campus during that exam time.
Parents: if you want your student to stay on campus when exempt, please contact the front office to let us know.
