March 2025 Newsletter
Parents and Guardians:
As I write this, it's hard to believe that March is already here. As a school community, we welcome the season of Lent as we prepare for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Throughout March, we will participate in several Lenten activities to emphasize the importance of preparing our hearts for Jesus's resurrection.
We will begin this season with our annual Shrove Tuesday celebration on March 4, followed by our Ash Wednesday Mass at OLOP on March 5. Our Holy Thursday celebration will take place on April 17, before we observe Good Friday on April 18 and Easter Sunday on April 20. We look forward to celebrating these moments of our faith with you during this Lenten season.
We are also excited to begin the 2025-2026 school year registration starting on March 3. Please share this information with others in your community. We have sent out family intention forms for the 2025-2026 school year. These forms are incredibly helpful for our planning, so please complete them at your earliest convenience.
Here is a digital link to the form.
Additionally, we are pleased to announce that we are offering full-day/everyday kindergarten. This is a positive development for our community, and we appreciate the feedback you provided this winter regarding the continuation of this program.
We launched a school-wide literacy initiative called March Madness: Battle of the Books this March. Our Literacy team has organized this initiative, which includes activities for each grade level. This tournament-style format involves classes reading various books with their teachers and then voting on the book they feel is the best. The culmination is a final vote where students select one book as the ultimate winner. We are fortunate to have such a creative staff!
Middle school athletics is winding down its basketball season, which has seen much success. We extend our gratitude to all the coaches for their support and dedication, which has resulted in many positive experiences for our students. As we transition into spring, we are excited to begin the badminton season, so please stay tuned for more information.
On March 19 and 20, we will host Parent-Teacher Conferences from 4 PM to 7 PM on both nights. Please look forward to invitations from your child's classroom teachers to sign up. We cherish these evenings as opportunities to share your child's learning successes.
Many blessings to you, and we look forward to seeing you in March.
