Superintendent's Report
- Dr. Hart recognized Holland Brook School student, Jesse Gold for his outstanding accomplishments at the Child Mind Institute. See photo below of Dr. Hart, Jess Gold and his father, Mr. David Gold.

Administrative Reports
- The December Enrollment - Drill Report was approved.
- The Board approved the continued long term suspension and current placement of a student with no modification for the 2024-2025 school year.
Finance/Facilities
- The district bill list was approved.
- District travel was approved.
- The Board accepts and files with the Department of Education the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and Management Report on Administrative Compliance and Performance for the Fiscal Year Ended June 30, 2024.
- The Board approved the application and acceptance of a Regular Operating District (ROD) grant for the State of New Jersey, School Development Authority.
- The Business Administrator was authorized to apply for a waiver for Special Education Medicaid Initiative (SEMI) revenue projection for the 2025-2026 school year.
Education/Technology
- The Special Education Extended School Year LLD, Extended Day Preschool, Autism, Behavioral Disabilities and Life Skills classes to occur Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., from July 1, 2025 through July 31, 2025 was approved.
- The Special Education Extended School Year, Math and Literacy Programs to occur Monday through Thursday from either 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., from July 1, 2025 through July 24, 2025 was approved.
- The Special Education Extended School Year for Preschool Disabled Program from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., from July 1, 2025 through July 24, 2025 was approved.
- The acceptance of a donation from Marie Steen in the amount of $1,000 was approved.
- Fundraisers were approved for Holland Brook School and Three Bridges School for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Home instruction for a student was ratified and approved.
- Additional field trips were approved for the 2024-2025 school year.
- The list of updated HSA fundraisers was approved for the 2024-2025 school year.
Personnel
- Substitute teacher placements were approved.
- The following appointments were ratified and approved: Emma Weger/RMS LTS-LA Teacher and Kathleen Suchorsky/TBS LTS-Principal.
- The following appointments were approved: Grace Curren/HBS-Cafe Aide, Dina Phillips/WHS-Bus Aide-Preschool, *Gary Kropilak/TBS-Bus Aid-Preschool, *Isatou Marong/WHS-Bus Aide-Preschool and RMS-Cafe Aide, *Tumbul Jaiteh/WHS-Bus Aide and Cafe Aide, and *Nyimanding Marong/WHS-Bus Aide-Preschool and Cafe Aide. *pending fingerprinting/background check clearance.
- The following staff members were approved to facilitate the Science Fairs: Jill Nabozny/TBS and Leslie Martinez/WHS.
- The following teacher was ratified and approved to provide home instruction: Yolanda Lima.
- The following chaperones were ratified and approved: Sheryl Ottenstroer and Kelli Meadows.
- The following paraprofessional was ratified and approved to receive special skills stipend: Malin Lago.
Communications
- One policy for second reading was approved.
- The Readington Township Board of Education proclaims January 2025 as SCHOOL BOARD RECOGNITION MONTH in New Jersey and urges all citizens to join in recognizing the dedication of local school board members, past and present, as we work together to advance educational opportunities for our children. In honor of School Board Recognition Month we recognize our newly appointed Board President, Mr. David Rizza. David received his undergraduate degree in Finance from Rutgers University and has a 35 year career in Information Technology, Medical Affairs Operations, and Project Management. David is currently a Director/Technology Lead at a pharmaceutical company. David has lived in Readington Township for six years with his wife, son, and two dogs. Next Board Meeting
The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., and will be held in person in the Board Conference Room in the Board of Education office wing of Holland Brook School.
