Week of 11/18
HMS Weekly Update
Week of November 18
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Did you know that our school utilizes a powerful online program for reading and math? The program, called i-Ready, will help your student’s teacher(s) determine your student’s opportunities for growth, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the school year.
Each week, students are required to complete at least 40 minutes and 1 lesson in both reading and math. Students have the opportunity to complete these requirements during their Academic Intervention time.
Below, we have added a link to the i-Ready Family Center as well as informational videos. These links will help you understand i-Ready and learn what you can do to support your student at home. If you have any questions about i-Ready, please reach out!
We hope you have a great week!
Warm regards,
Mr. Endres, Principal
Ms. Coalter, Assistant Principal

What is PBIS?
PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based, tiered framework for supporting students’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. When implemented with fidelity, PBIS improves social emotional competence, academic success, and school climate. It also improves teacher health and wellbeing. It is a way to create positive, predictable, equitable and safe learning environments where everyone thrives.
