Tiger Connection

It has been another great week at Spalding Drive! Today has been a lot of fun with winter class parties in every grade level. It is always fun to see our students just truly be together and partake in crafts and games!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful winter break. This has been a busy semester and I am so proud of all that our students, staff, and community have accomplished! We have been celebrating our highest growth in each grade level on iReady this week in both reading and math. Take time to reflect with your student over the break on what they have accomplished and what they are most proud of. For me, I am proud of how our community has stayed focused on what is most important, helping our students grow, admist all the chaos this year has brought. I am looking forward to a great 2nd semester ahead!

I will be checking email on and off over the break. I am taking the first week to recharge with my family in Hilton Head, but please know I am always only an email away if you need anything at all.

• February 7th is Career Shadowing Day at school. ALL CAREERS ARE WELCOMED! I need a total of 17 speakers. Also, if you know of a friend with a cool career that you think would like to share with our students, please send them my way!

If you are interested in volunteering to speak about your career, please email me Mr. Stevenson

Speakers will need to arrive at 8:15 am for a brief orientation and light breakfast. You will then talk about your career in the classrooms from 8:30-10:00 am, speaking with three different classes for 30 minutes each. The classes will rotate to you, so if you bring any equipment, you will not have to move it from class to class.

We would love to have parent speakers, so please consider making this investment in our students' lives. Parents will be selected on a first come basis. Thank you in advance for your participation! To sign up, please send Your Name, Phone Number, Email Address and Career/Position to Mr. Stevenson by Friday, January 24th.
