It's hard to believe we are already a week into October! October is a busy month with Teacher Record Day, Fall Break, Parent Teacher Conferences and the District's Showcase of Schools. We hope that you are able to participate in Parent Teacher Conferences and are able to use Fall Break to spend time with your families.

Our learner attribute for October is reflective. Now is a great time to encourage your scholar to reflect on first quarter. What has been learned? What growth has occurred? What are areas for improvement? Being reflective encourages us all to slow down and to think critically about our lives and the world around us.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and we will see your scholars on Monday!

October 12th- CIA Volleyball Tournament 8:00-4:00 (at home)

October 16th- Teacher Record Day. No school for students.

October 17th & 18th- Fall break. No school for students.

October 23rd- Parent Teacher Conferences from 5:00-7:30

October 29th- Showcase of Schools at Century Center 6:00-7:30

November 8th- CIA Trivia Night at 6:00 pm

Mr. Dennig's 7th and 8th grade math: 7th Grade -

- Continue with combining like terms while adding exponents to equations.

- As well we will be working with decimals, fractions, and percents. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and converting percents to decimals, and decimals to percents.

8th Grade -

- Continued work with the inverse operation.

- build onto the inverse operation with No solution problems, and Infinite solutions problem. While relating these concepts to real world applications for students.
