A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Good luck to Mason and Lucas at State Track this weekend! GO FOXES!!
Last day of school is Wednesday, June 5th. Students will be out at noon. Remind your child to start bringing home items from their locker so they don't have too much to carry their last day. Also, they should be bringing back all of the items they have checked out from the library.

KUDOS
Graduation on June 2nd
The 151st Commencement will take place on June 2nd at 2 pm. Doors will open at 1 pm and seating is first come, first served. We invite you to come and celebrate our graduating class of 2024 with us.
Student of the Month
Each month a student in the senior class is chosen to be the OHS Student of the month. The student is selected based on scholarship, citizenship, leadership, and co-curricular activities. The May Student of the Month is Drew! Congratulations!

Seniors Mark Final Band Performance
These band seniors played in their last parade as students of Omro High School.

Culinary Arts Class Crowns Chopped Champ
Mrs. Morse's Advanced Culinary Arts class recently competed in a class version of the Food Network TV program, "Chopped." The final round consisted of 3 students who had 30 minutes to prepare a plate presentation using the secret ingredients of a boneless chicken breast, spinach leaves, graham crackers, and dill pickle slices. Congratulations to Chef Topher who earned the title of "ACA Chopped Champion" by creating a stir fry dish.
Seniors Go Back to Kindergarten
On their last day of high school, Creative Writing seniors took it back to kindergarten with arts and crafts! Students created handprint art to give to someone who "helped them grow," and they were treated to Capri Sun and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!
Peer Leaders End of Year Event
Sources of Strength planned an end-of-year event in which SOS Peer Leaders brainstormed healthy activities, teachers hosted those activities, and the entire student body participated 30 for a minute Fox Time. Students played flag football, made giant bubbles, colored with sidewalk chalk, read outside, and walked in nature. It was an opportunity to smile, celebrate the year, and enjoy being an Omro Fox.
Fun in Fab Lab!
Fab Lab finished up this week making Bluetooth speakers, breaking turkey femurs, and crashing rockets. Come join the fun next year!
Students Participate in County Government Day
Ms. Jentz and Mr. Bohn took students to County Government Day at the Winnebago County Courthouse.
Students spent the day learning about county government functions, public safety, veterans support through the county, the teen court, as well as how the county judicial system works through a Q&A with a Judge, District Attorney, and Public Defender.
Thank you to the American Legion for helping sponsor the day!
Culinary Arts Class Offers Food Truck as Capstone Project
Students in Mrs. Morse's Culinary Arts class just recently ran a simulated food truck service as their capstone project for the class. "Coconut Cove" was open for business on Thursday, May 30, from 11:00-1:00 and served 40 customers. Their menu consisted of Italian Sliders, BLT Wrap, Vegetable Soup, Caesar Salad and Pineapple Coconut Cheesecake.

Equestrian Team Meeting
There will be an organizational pre-season team meeting for anyone planning to or interested in joining the Equestrian Team on June 18th at 7:00PM in room #1709.
Change in Parking Accommodations for Grilled Cheese Day 2024
Due to the large amount of rainfall, we will not be parking cars in the field for Grilled Cheese Day at the Egan Family Farm. Please park at H.B. Patch School, Grace Lutheran Church or St. Mary Catholic Church. Busses will take you to the farm and back free of charge! Thank you for your cooperation and we will see you June 1 for a fun day on the farm!
Driver's Education Class Cancelled For This Summer
Unfortunately, due to insufficient interest, Cruisin' Safely will not be able to provide the Driver's Ed course at Omro High School this summer.

Ripon Area Community Theater...2024 Summer Musical: The Wizard of Oz
The Ripon Area Community Theatre (RACT) will be holding open
auditions for its summer musical production of, “The Wizard of Oz"
at the First Congregational Church, 220 Ransom St., in Ripon.
~Auditions are open to ages 8-Adult.
~Performances are August 16th-18th at the Ripon High School.
~Children's Auditions are Fri. June 14th from 4:30-7:30 pm, and Sat. June 15th 2-5 pm.
~Adult Auditions are Sun. June 16th & Mon. June 17th 6-9 pm.
~Primary roles include: Dorothy Gale, Aunt Em/Glinda, Uncle Henry, Mrs.
Gulch/Wicked Witch, Scarecrow, Tinman, Lion, and many chorus roles for
various ages. Auditioners should prepare up to two minutes of a vocal audition, choosing a song suitable to their voice and appropriate for general audiences. The song may be from the show or in a similar style.
Questions about the musical can be sent to: riponareacommunitytheatre@gmail.com. The Ripon Area Community Theatre is a sponsored program of the Ripon Noon Kiwanis.
Sources of Strength is looking to collect new/gently used toys, stuffed animals, books, or games to use as prizes at the Waukau Chicken BBQ on June 9. If you have anything you are willing to donate, please drop off at OHS/OMS Main Office or to Mrs. Morse (Room 1408) We appreciate your support.
Bus Registration is Open for Fall
Please complete the Bus Registration Form by July 15, 2024. If this form is NOT completed by July 15, 2024, you are not guaranteed bussing for this fall. If you register for bus transportation after July 15, 2024, you need to contact Lamers directly at 920-685-2475.

Work Permits Are Available ONLINE ONLY
A parent can access the the work permit site using these instructions. Payment is made directly to the department through the application, using a credit or debit card or by ACH direct withdrawal. Once the permit application process is complete, the Department mails a paper copy of the permit directly to the employer. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact by email at workpermits@dwd.wisconsin.gov.
ATHLETICS
Interested in Fall Football?
Freshmen-Junior students interested in playing HS football there will be a meeting with the new head coach on Tuesday, June 4 after school in the high school commons. At this meeting, he will cover the summer schedule and expectations.

Well Badger Resource Center is an information and referral (I&R) service for Wisconsin individuals and families. The Navigator is a free, confidential, online tool designed to help parents, caregivers, and professionals navigate mental and behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and young adults under the age of 21! Just answer a few questions about the child, and the Navigator provides a customized guide to connect the child with the resources and support they both need and deserve.

STRIVING & THRIVING
An opportunity for teens to build skills and make positive connections that will assist them in overcoming adversities. Individuals will have the chance to learn coping skills, how to better understand their emotions and build healthy relationships.
