A Message from our Principal
Happy New Year! I hope this message finds you well and that you had a restful and enjoyable holiday season with your loved ones. As we step into the new year, I wanted to extend a warm welcome back to all our students, families, and staff.
January marks the beginning of a fresh start and offers exciting opportunities for growth and learning. Here are some important updates and highlights for this month:
Academic Excellence: Our dedicated teachers have prepared engaging and enriching lessons to inspire our students as they delve into new subjects and continue their educational journey. We encourage parents to stay engaged in their child's academic progress and reach out to teachers or staff for any support needed.
Winter Activities: With the winter season upon us, our school has planned various activities and events to keep our spirits high. Keep an eye on our calendar and weekly updates for upcoming assemblies and other fun-filled events.
Community Engagement: As a community-driven school, we value your involvement and support. We invite parents to participate in our PTO meetings, volunteer opportunities, or simply reach out with any ideas or feedback you might have.
Safety Reminder: The safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority. Please continue to reinforce safety practices at home, such as proper hand washing, and staying home when feeling unwell, to help maintain a healthy school environment
I am thrilled about the possibilities that lie ahead for our school community in this new year. Together, let's continue to foster a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages growth, learning, and success for all our students. Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication. If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to discuss, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Carmella Heer

January Service Project
Cervical Cancer Awareness
On Friday, Jan. 17th -$2-Dress Down Day-Wear TEAL.
All proceeds will be donated to our “BIRTHDAYS ARE SPECIAL FUND”, which is used to ensure that Rossi students are able to celebrate their birthday with their class. This is done in memory of our beloved teacher and friend, Jess Saunderlin, who lost her battle with cervical cancer in October 2018. Jess was a mother of 3 young children. The idea for the “Birthdays are Special Fund” comes from Ms. Saunderlin’s love of celebrating her own children's’ birthdays. Nothing would make her happier than knowing all children had the opportunity to feel special on their birthday.
To honor her legacy, we want to encourage women to follow up with their yearly exams and test results.
W.I.S.E. News
On January 9th, Rossi had its monthly WISE assembly for rewarding the sunny trait of Optimism and introducing the mighty powerful competencies of Encouragement/Critical Thinking. Mrs. Cristelli was awarded the most Optimistic Staff and was our WISE GUY! Miss Ellen Olbrich was our remarkable superhero this month. She is a fierce young and determined woman who has learned to deal with being diagnosed with diabetes at an early age of 18 months old. She spoke of how much she has learned to deal with and overcome while still being successful in everyday life. She lives life to the fullest and is an incredible student and athlete. She spoke to the students encouraging them to never give up and to help encourage others to do the same!
