A Message From the Principal
Good afternoon,
We are so excited to enter into the last week of the 25-26 school year next week. Friendly reminder that we do not have school on Memorial Day, May 26th, 2025.
We have some fun activities planned this last week. On Tuesday, May 27th, 8th graders have a field trip to Brookfield Zoo. On Wednesday, May 28th, they will head to CLC to practice for graduation. We will be at the graduation venue from approximately 9:45 am - 11:30 am. Graduation will be held later that evening at 6:30 pm at the CLC Physical Education Center or Building F. Students should report prior to graduation at 6:00 pm. The 7th grade band will be performing, along with 8th grade Choir. All spectators for graduation must have a graduation ticket to enter the venue. Doors will open at 6:10 pm.
Our 6th and 7th graders will have engaging activities and learning through Friday, May 30th. On May 29th, 6th grade will be bowling at Bowlero in the afternoon and 7th grade will have a Career Day in the morning. Please reach out in advance to Karolina O'Malley (komalley@fsd79.org), if you plan to drop your student off late or early, due to a medical appointment or other excused reason for absence. Our final day of school is May 30th and 6th and 7th graders will be dismissed at 1:13 pm.
As we wrap up another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the growth, accomplishments, and challenges we've faced together. Whether it was through classroom achievements, sports victories, or community-building events, we have truly made this year special. To our eighth graders, you are about to take on high school, and I know you will carry the lessons and friendships from this year into the next chapter of your journey. To all of our students, thank you for your hard work and resilience. Have a wonderful, restful summer, and I can’t wait to see what next year brings!
Warm Regards,
Emily Loerakker

Student Council - Final Spirit Weeks!
Fremont MS - Next Year's Courses
Thank you for indicating interest for new electives we have available to next year's 7th and 8th grade. If parents/guardians do not fill out the form, we will place students on the same elective pathway as they are during the 24-25 school year. If you would like to make an adjustment, please fill out the following form based on your student's grade level during the 25-26 school year.
Students will also be moved to the next grade level based on their current placement in Math and ELA. In cases where students have been recommended a different placement, Emily Loerakker will send an email out to families with more information and opportunity for summer activities to support advanced placement.
All students will receive their schedule during the first week of August by logging into Teacherease.
Special Event Dismissal Schedule - May 30
In keeping with past District practice, the final scheduled day of instruction for the elementary, intermediate, and middle schools (May 30) will follow our Special Event Dismissal Schedule. Students will be dismissed at the following times:
Middle School: 1:13 p.m.
Elementary & Intermediate Schools: 2:08 p.m.
Summer Online Learning Access
This Summer Online Learning Access document highlights the programs that students have access to over the summer, should you wish to access them for independent summer learning. These are the same online, personalized, self-paced, student-directed programs FSD79 uses during the school year. Prior to summer break, your child’s current classroom teacher(s) will provide reminders regarding the necessary login information needed to access these tools.

Early Pick-Up Procedures
If your student needs to be picked up early, please notify our main office at 847-566-9384 or send an email to the receptionist, Karolina O'Malley, at komalley@fsd79.org. A parent/guardian or designated person must present identification to pick a student up early. Please note that the latest pickup time is 2:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 1:30 PM on Wednesday. Parents cannot park in handicapped parking spots near the gym as it interferes with bus pick up.

Sincerely,
Emily Loerakker
