Clifty Creek Elementary Received IUPUC Excellence in Diversity Award
The Legado program currently serves families with students in pre-k, kindergarten, and first grade. BCSC’s plan is to continue to grow the program each year until it has students participating from pre-k through 6th grade.
While starting a new dual-language program has not gone without experiencing growing pains and its own challenges, Legado has experienced many successes. The program is at full enrollment and has seen low mobility within the program. Clifty Creek Principal Dr. Michael Parsons attributes this success to the quality of teachers and assistants who have gone above and beyond to support their families and students.
“This recognition is a great testament to the hard work, in-depth planning, and love shown by each staff member at Clifty Creek to make Legado Spanish Immersion Academy a welcoming and stimulating educational experience. The success of Legado is firmly rooted in our teachers and teaching assistants dedication to providing the highest quality dual language experience and ensuring every child at Clifty Creek receives an excellent education,” said Dr. Parsons, Clifty Creek Principal.
