Principals Message
“ Ko Ngāti Awa te Toki te tangtanga i te ra, te ngohengohe i te wai.”
Ngāti Awa is the adze whose bindings cannot be loosened by the sun nor softened by the rain.
This phrase expresses the resilience and strength of the Ngāti Awa people, likening them to an indomitable adze that remains steadfast regardless of external conditions like the sun or rain. It symbolizes their enduring spirit and cultural significance.
To all our kaiako, students, board of trustees members and whānau from our kura participating in this year's Te Toki festival, we are proud of your efforts. You are showcasing the wisdom, skills, and qualities passed down from your tupuna to represent your whānau, hapu and Iwi.
Kia mau te wehi whānau!
Welcome back to another busy term at Te Kura O Te Pāroa. We look forward to working alongside you this term for the benefit of the tamariki, mokopuna at Te Kura O Te Pāroa.

Reflection garden.
Our Junior Auraki Purapura have worked well this term to beautify the outside of our akomanga by fully committing to upgrading gardens that reflect us as a whanau. Our gardens also reflect, supporting and valuing each other's ideas and filtering these into our tamariki. Our tamariki have been nurtured through the storms and calms to grow like the seeds from our garden which are stability, leadership and capabilities.
"Poipoia te kakano, kia puawai"
"Nurture the seed and it will blossom"
