MRUSD Board Meeting
Wednesday, June 19th. 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Location: BFA. 71 South Main Street. St. Albans.

One hundred and ten students and sixteen adults (126 total) walked or biked to school on Wednesday, May 15th. The rain that was expected for the day held off and temperatures were perfect for walking. Team Investigators and Team Triumph had the best turnouts! Thank you to both groups.

Team Triumph have taken on the role as caretakers for the fruit trees, blueberry bushes and raspberry canes planted at St. Albans City School. On Wednesday morning, Ms. Draper took 5th and 6th graders out to the blueberry bushes to keep the plants from being weed-infested. Using wheelbarrows, shovels and rakes, her team transported wood chips from a big pile at the bus loop over to the bushes planted in the school-section of the food-producing garden. Once there, students shoveled the wood chips into place along the rows of blueberry bushes.

These Travelers were outside mid-morning on Wednesday, May 15th. It was a perfect day for scootering.

June 24th - August 16th

The Champlain Valley Fair has partnered with Libraries around the state to promote reading. St. Albans Free Library is one of those librarys. Students who read three books over the summer can qualify for a free 1-day pass to the fair, a coupon for a $5 ice cream, and a free book.
