Happy Monday!

I hope you had a fabulous weekend!

As we are nearing winter cold, flus and stomach bugs are going around the school. Please keep your children home if they are sick. Children cannot come to school if they have had a fever or have thrown up. They must be fever free, without fever reducing medication, for 24 hours before returning to school. They also cannot have thrown up for the previous 24 hours before returning to school. These rules are for the safety and health of all of our children as well as our faculty and staff.

Thursday, December 19th is our Christmas Program. Aftercare closes at 5:30 so everyone has a chance to get ready. Students must come to their classrooms at 6:00. Parents will pick them up from their classrooms at the end of the show. Grades PK and K will be dismissed to their parents from the stage and can go home for early bedtimes.

Friday, December 20th, is a half day with No Aftercare. Because we have a late night the night before, students may come in Pajamas for $1.

Yesterday was the 2nd Sunday of Advent. The second Sunday of Advent is a time to prepare our hearts, celebrate the birth of Jesus, and ready ourselves for his second coming.

During this second week of Advent, we pause to remember who God is and what He has done for us. When our lives are hurried, we only have the chance to focus on our to-do lists. Making space in our schedules for prayer and meditation helps us to better see God at work in our lives and in our world.

I have attached a weekly calendar below. This calendar has daily activities to celebrate advent with your children.

Thank you so much for the huge number of offers to help Mr. Tiago with his projects to make our building shine. At this point they are all full, however Mr. Tiago is currently creating a list of new projects!!
