Wednesday, November 27th is a 1/2 Day of School. No Beyond the Bell
Telling the Truth Doesnβt Have to Be Scary
Act of Faith
O my God, I firmly believe
that you are one God in three divine Persons,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
I believe that your divine Son became man
and died for our sins and that he will come
to judge the living and the dead.
I believe these and all the truths
which the Holy Catholic Church teaches
because you have revealed them
who are eternal truth and wisdom,
who can neither deceive nor be deceived.
In this faith I intend to live and die.
Amen.
What do we believe and what is the truth? You are beautiful and the Lord delights in you! You are made to love God and to love your neighbor as yourself. God is love. Does God only love you when you are good? Does God love you when you sin? Your children know the answer to these questions. God is love and He died so that we could be loved and safe and protected. This is the truth. All thoughts should come from this basic understanding of the human person.
Jesus declared just how important and essential the truth is by describing it as the fundamental purpose of his saving mission: For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. (John 18:37). Jesus also taught, If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. (Jn 8:31)
When we begin the day in morning prayer knowing that we are loved, it is so much easier to tell the truth. We are not perfect, we are flawed humans. We will break the rules and make mistakes, but seeing the truth about our sins helps us to grow closer to God. Take a deep breath. Tell us what happened and letβs ask God for His forgiveness and His help. The truth isnβt something to be afraid of. It is a way to know better and to do better. The truth is freedom!
God Bless,
Anne Atkin, principal

The Cold Weather is Coming! β
We prefer mittens especially for students in PK, Kindergarten and 1st Grade
It is getting cold out. We ask that all of the students bring hats and mittens or gloves. Once the snow starts, students will need snow boots and snow pants. We go outside several times per day as long as the wind chill is above 5 degrees.
π¦ News From Preschool π¦
This week down in preschool we have been working on the letter U, working on a couple more
commandments, singing our Christmas program songs, and learning all about the First
Thanksgiving shared between the Pilgrims and the Native Americans. We made the Mayflower,
Pilgrims, and Native Americans to go along with this unit. Mrs. Lauren even led a fun turkey
craft for us.
Please remember that on Tuesday November 26th we are going to be having our annual
Thanksgiving Feast to end our unit on Thanksgiving. The feast will start roughly around 11:45
and go until 12:15 or so. Parents or grandparents are more than welcome to attend this event
as well. All we ask is that you please help with setting up, serving, or cleaning up. This is going
to be such a fun event that we look forward to every year.
Now that the weather is changing PLEASE make sure you are sending your child with a winter
coat everyday, NOT just a sweatshirt or zip up hoodie. Also, when it comes to gloves or mittens,
WARM THICK MITTENS ARE BEST. NOT gloves.
Please reach out if there are any questions!
