Message from the Principal
Happy Sunday everyone,
Solar Eclipse: Safety First and Check out Oak Hill students and teachers featured in a NBC Report:
I know everyone is excited for tomorrow's solar eclipse. All after-school athletics are canceled tomorrow so everyone can get home and be safe. We will be reminding all students to avoid looking directly at the sun without the ISO approved solar glasses; see below for more information.
Be Cyber Smart: Take advantage of this valuable training:
And after the eclipse.... later tomorrow evening at 7pm, we will host a special Be Cyber Smart presentation for all interested parents. This presentation was designed and will be delivered by Ayelet Biger-Levin and Gabriel Friedlander who are both in the cyber security and privacy industry. They are also parents of Oak Hill 8th grade students. See more information below including the zoom link! They will share critical information on how to help your children (and you!) with addressing password safety, multi-factor authentication, how to recognize cyber scams and defend against cyber hacking and "phishing." They will present for about 30 minutes and then take all of your questions.
ELA MCAS: ALL STUDENTS ALL GRADES MONDAY AND TUESDAY
Tomorrow and Tuesday are the two days of ELA MCAS for EVERYONE in the building; please encourage your student to get some good sleep tonight; the testing on each day will be substantial.
Congratulations to all the 6th graders who prepared such great Global Goals presentations! Families and teachers alike were so impressed at our students' work on Friday.
I hope everyone has enjoyed the weekend.
Sincerely,
John
