July 2022 - End of School Year
Sharing God's love - Respecting and valuing each other - Becoming inspired learners for life
We made it!
What a lovely July we have had in school, so great to see you back at the Parent Teacher Meetings, I do hope that you found them useful, a good chance to see your child's work and catch up with the class teacher in person after all this time apart.
Well done to Year 6, Mrs Kolendo and the teaching team for the lovely performance of The Jungle Book, a superb end of primary years for Y6.
As always thanks for all your support this year, as we end the year the difficulties of the pandemic seem fairly distant away. It's wonderful that we have made it through the year together and that the children are doing so well in school thanks to our effective home school learning partnership.
Best wishes for the summer break, we look forward to welcoming you back to school in September.

End of the school year
School closes at Midday next Wednesday for the summer holidays. It's been a long and lovely term but I think we will all be glad for the break and some relaxed family time!
On Wednesday morning we have hope to have a school Mass with Father Rob to mark the end of the school year and to wish Y6 well on their journey to secondary education. Should the weather make this difficult, we will move indoors and have a Mass for Y6 and their parents only.
At 1140 we clap Year 6 out from their classrooms, they follow a route around the school and all the children gather, clap and cheer them out. All parents are most welcome to come and gather with their children's classes as we say goodbye, we will send out more news about this next week via Class Dojo.
Year 6 parents and children will gather on the field for a final goodbye after the clapping out.
The school offices are open next Thursday but will then close for the summer and will reopen on Thursday 1st September.
Red Alert Heatwave
Early Collection during the heatwave
In order to collect your child please complete our Google Form (see link below) and we will arrange for your child to meet you in the front playground at 1pm. We are just having a collection at 1pm only. If you are unable to make this time do not worry but please collect at the usual closing time, we do not want parents arriving throughout the afternoon between 1pm and 3pm.
Precautionary Absence for some pupils
For children with respiratory issues including asthma, it may be easier for them to remain at home with an authorised absence from the school. Please let us know via email if this is the case for your child.
Being cool and sun safe
Please make sure that your child is dressed in school PE kit / Y6 leaving shirt, has a water bottle, sun hat and some sun lotion.
Childcare service
Our childcare service will operate as usual on Monday and Tuesday, please don't forget that we do not have after school childcare on Wednesday.
