The gifted and talented resource teachers serving Jessie Clark Middle School will be hosting a parent information night to share district policies, procedures, and updates for the 2018-2019 school year. All families are welcome to attend to learn more about gifted and talented opportunities in Fayette County. I recommend attending the parent information night if you are interested to learn more about the gifted accelerated program, referral process, policies, & procedures, and receive information regarding service options available to students who are formally identified as gifted and talented. All families who are interested in the gifted accelerated program, early entry to kindergarten, or SCAPA must apply online between August 15th and October 7th.

The Kentucky Association for Gifted Education is hosting a fall workshop here in Lexington, and they are inviting parents of gifted and talented students to attend an information night on Monday, September 24th from 7:00-8:00 PM at the Hilton in downtown Lexington.

All families of gifted and talented students will be receiving gifted student service plans no later than September 28th. These educational plans identify the two service options your student shall receive to meet his/her learning needs. If you have questions regarding your child's gifted student service plan, please contact the gifted and talented resource teacher that works with your child's grade level team.
