Weekly Update March 7, 2025
Strive Center for Autism
March is Pet Month!
March is pet month at Strive and that means we have lots of fun visitors! So far, we've met several cats. We will be meeting some dogs soon and a bearded dragon! The pets and the kids have really enjoyed the visits.
Each child will also be "adopting" a small stuffed pet from our Strive Shelter. Kids will take care of their pets by pretending to feed and water them, and learn about what pets need, like walks and exercise. Kids will bring their adopted pets home at the end of the month.
Strive Family Survey - closing March 15th!
It's time for our annual family satisfaction surveys! We welcome your feedback and will use it to make improvements to our services. The survey should take just a few minutes to complete. We ask that each family complete at least one survey, but all caregivers are welcome to complete it. We will share the link several times over the next 2 weeks in order to reach as many families as possible.
We'll close the survey on March 15th, so please be sure to fill it out soon!
If you'd like to get started now, please use this link. We really appreciate your time.
Cold Weather Gear
Remember that we will go outside every day that the temperature feels like 20 degrees or warmer. The playgrounds are wet and squishy, so please continue to send boots and snow pants so we can enjoy the fresh air!
Additional Schedule Change: Brighton ONLY closed on Thursday, March 20th
We will be closing our Brighton center for one additional day on Thursday, March 20th. This will allow us to free up enough staff from both buildings for the two day certification course described above. We will have our more experienced Brighton therapists work as "guest" therapists in Burton that day, so families will see some different faces there!
Meet the Team!
Emma, RBT
Emma has been a part of the Strive team since September 2023. She previously worked as a child care taker, assistant pre school teacher, nanny, and behavior technician at a different center.
Emma has a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance. She is very interested in ABA and speech therapy.
When she is not working, Emma enjoys swimming, reading, painting, and hiking.
