Happy New Year- Here's to more wins in 2024! I hope you are all staying safe and warm with the impending snowstorm on the way. I know a lot of people have reported having the post-break winter blahs. With that in mind, I wanted to highlight some opportunities to shake off the blahs and engage with your union!
1. Know Your Rights: Violence in our Schools is a workshop Region 3 is creating by partnering with WEAC legal to discuss your rights when it comes to violent behaviors and organizing strategies for classroom safety. The workshop is via zoom on Wednesday January 24th at 6pm.
2. Labor Notes Scholarship- Region 3 is sending members to Labor Notes April 19-21 in Chicago, Illinois. Labor Notes is a union organizing conference with union members from all over the world! It's the most exciting place to learn more about how to strengthen your union. Region 3 covers hotel, mileage, registration and meals. Application is below.
3. Equity Ambassadors- Region 3 is partnering with the Green Bay Education Association to host this weekend long training March 15-17.

This is also the time of year when issues become apparent in your building. If there's something you think your union should be involved in changing, please reach out. Our team of Organizing Directors are more than willing to help facilitate a building meeting about an issue you and your coworkers care about.
