Gina Rios-Smith Honored with MI ACTE Award at State Conference
Join us in congratulating Gina Rios-Smith, Educational Careers Instructor at the Wilson Talent Center, for receiving the Michigan Association for Career & Technical Education (MI ACTE) Teacher Educator of the Year. This award recognizes teacher educators, secondary or postsecondary, who are committed to preparing teachers to deliver high quality CTE programs, demonstrated innovation in teacher education, and leadership in improving CTE. Gina was presented with her award in January at the Michigan Career Education Conference in Grand Rapids.
Gina is committed to preparing students for careers in education and early childhood, equipping them with the skills to succeed. Beyond the classroom, Gina builds strong partnerships with local schools and early childhood centers, providing hands-on experiences that shape future educators and strengthen our community.

Ingham ISD Paraprofessional Hiring Fair
Ingham ISD is looking for dedicated, compassionate individuals to join our team as Paraprofessionals in our Special Education programs. This rewarding career offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with cognitive and/or physical impairments, helping them learn, grow and thrive.
Our staff works closely with local school districts and families to provide center-based programs and services tailored to each student’s needs. Serving students from ages 3 to 26, these programs help individuals reach their full potential. Paraprofessionals assist with daily routines, classroom activities, one-on-one support, behavior strategies and play an essential role in student success.
