We are thrilled to announce that Senior Jacie Wilson and Sophomore Rachel Eslinger have both achieved significant milestones at West Vigo Tuesday evening. Jacie has reached 1000 kills, while Rachel has served up 1000 assists. These accomplishments reflect dedication and hard work in their sport. As the season progresses, we are eager to see how many additional stats they can achieve.

Rachel was an Indiana High School Girls Wrestling State Finalist in 2023 and 2024. Rachel is currently a Junior. Rachel is the daughter of Gary and Courtney Kinnaman.

Drake was the 2023 National Archery in Schools Program IBO State Champion. Drake is a Junior. Drake is the son of Alex and Brandi Grable.

Brylee was a 2024 Indiana High School Girls Wrestling State Finalist. Brylee is currently a Junior. Brylee is the daughter of Chris and Holly Wilkinson.

Jaci was named a 2023 Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association 1A/2A All-Star. Jaci is currently a Senior. Jaci is the daughter of JD and Jaime Wilson.

Katherine was a state qualifier in the 400-Meter Dash this spring at the IHSAA Track & Field State Finals. Katherin is currently a Junior. Katherine is the daughter of Tim and Jamalyn Sarver.

Zane was the 6th place finisher in the 200-Meter Dash this spring at the IHSAA Track & Field State Finals. Zane is currently a Junior. Zane is the son of Seth and Camil Catlin.

CES 1st graders engaged in a creative writing session using shaving cream to practice their “SH” words. This hands-on approach not only makes learning enjoyable but also reinforces essential language skills in a memorable way.

CES 1st graders have successfully completed an engaging unit on the human body! They explored how our brains send electrical impulses, enhancing their understanding of the human anatomy. This foundational knowledge in STEM is crucial for their future learning.

CES 3rd graders experienced a fantastic blend of education and adventure! Through a virtual trip to the zoo and an exploration of ocean life, our students engaged with their learning in meaningful ways. The new reading series has inspired students to discover the animal kingdom like never before. This innovative approach not only enhances their knowledge but also fosters a love for learning.

Introducing Robin’s Place: a dynamic safe space located on the Sullivan square, designed for social connection, mental well-being, and intellectual stimulation. • The Sullivan County Health Department has shared updated guidelines on meningitis B vaccinations. The new protocol states that the 2nd dose must now be administered 6 months after the 1st dose, instead of the previous 1-month interval. This change could significantly impact seniors planning to attend colleges that require the Men B vaccine. It is essential for students to receive their 1st dose promptly to ensure they meet enrollment deadlines.

• 10/11-Sign-ups for Elks Hoop Shoot are due. Sign-up forms are on the table outside the office. Elks Hoop Shoot, is a free throw contest for ages 8-13. Age group is determined by contestant’s age as of April 1, 2025.

• 7th & 8th Grade Girls Basketball will have Open Gym every Monday from 3pm to 4:30 PM in the SMS Gym. This is open to any girl interested in playing Basketball.
