Principal's Message
Hello STEM Families!
Wow! I hope you and your families were able to witness the eclipse this afternoon (with no eye damage). I'm a bit of a science geek, so I thought it was incredible to be able to see such a rare cosmic event. The weather was absolutely perfect, too! We are actually going to string together a few spring-like days this week, until Friday when we dip down into the 40s again (boo).
We have so many wonderful events coming up, so be on the lookout for information!
As we move into the last phase of the season, please remember the importance of a good night's sleep to a child's brain development. If taking electronics out of the bedroom is needed, don't be afraid to do so. We have had many reports of kids calling or texting each other at 2 and 3 am. We need to give them every resource we can to give them what they need to learn!

Dr. James R Scott, PhD, NASA (retired) Senior Research Scientist and Science Systems Engineer, came to speak to our 3rd through 6th graders Friday afternoon about the upcoming eclipse.
April 10 - May 9: Ohio State Testing
We will be taking our required Ohio State Tests starting this week. Please make sure you make every attempt for your child to be on time during these days! We can't start them individually after the rest of the class gets started, so they will have to wait for the make-up day to take that portion of the test. Students may bring a water bottle on those days and may fill up before the test and at lunch (not during class time).
This Week:
Wednesday 4/10: 5th Grade ELA Pt1
Thursday 4/11: 5th Grade ELA Pt 2, 3rd Grade ELA Pt 1
Friday 4/12: 3rd Grade ELA Pt 2
At Mid-Ohio's Artapolooza show, STEM has 56 students with artwork on display this week!
Our Art Teacher Mrs. Reecer sent home letters before spring break if your child's work is on display. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact her via email at: reecer.molly@mansfieldschools.org
